About Us

about

We are a diverse group of Registered Behavioral Technicians™ and Board Certified Behavior Analysts™ providing evidenced based in-home services in the Chicagoland area. We serve children and adolescents aged 3 to 18 diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders and related conditions. At Hand Over Hand we are dedicated to using evidenced based interventions in an inclusive environment that fosters positive relationships through our commitment to diversity.

Commitment to Diversity

At Hand Over Hand we pride ourselves in the diversity of our staff and clients. Our staff represent almost a dozen different countries and speak a number of languages. We are committed to serving clients with the highest quality of service regardless of race, country of origin, religion, socioeconomic status, gender identity, religion/faith, etc. No client will ever be turned away due to minority status.

Commitment to Evidenced Based Intervention

At Hand Over Hand we are devoted to the use of evidenced based interventions to ensure optimal success for our clients and families. While there are a number of interventions that claim to be effective for individuals with autism, an evidenced based intervention is one that has been demonstrated to have a significant impact on outcomes of interest (language, cognitive ability, etc.). Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has consistently been established as an evidenced based intervention for significantly improving the functioning of individuals with autism. All interventions are based on established behavioral technologies developed and proven by practitioners and researchers of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our practitioners stay up to date by participating in professional organizations, subscribing to peer reviewed journals, attending research conferences, and obtaining continuing education credits.
